With over 25 years of songwriting and performance experience, Kristi brings in-depth knowledge of music and the industry to all her students. Along with that experience, she also brings joy, compassion, and an understanding of how beautiful and healing expressing oneself through music can be. She LOVES helping her students feel joy and gain confidence in their ability to express themselves through music.

Individualized Lessons
Kristi understands that there are many ways to approach music lessons and she intentionally individualizes each lesson so it works best for the student. She is skilled at working with various learning styles and seeing what an individual student needs and adjusting the lessons to the speed of the student. She takes the time to explain the lesson details in as many ways as necessary for each student to fully understand and learn the musical concept at hand.

Guiding Values
The values that guide Kristi as she teaches:
Authenticity. Kristi feels deeply that she wants to show up for her students as authentically as possible. She believes this will also help her students in turn find their own authenticity in their musical expression and performance.
Integrity. Kristi believes that music is a pathway to truth-telling. Whether it’s expressing feelings through singing or playing, or learning to write one’s own truth through composition and song-writing, she knows that each student needs to find their own way; she is committed to being their guide.
Creativity. Kristi creatively figures out what each of her students need from her and from their experience so that they have the best opportunity for exploring their own creativity, setting them up for success in their musical exploration and learning.
