Promise
Promise

You ask for promise: promise you my life, my love. You won't give me things that you want to give unless I promise you myself.
But I'm living now.
I'm living today.
I am promising myself to myself.
And when I say I'll do it
I will and I do.
So give me what you want to give me. Please don't attach those strings.
And I will give you everything.
You ask for ever.
You ask me to give you things I need for me.
You ask me to give you things you need to do for yourself. Talk to me now. Tell me now.
Be real and raw and feel something now.
Hold me now. Hold me now.
Tell me what you feel.
Speak you mind, your body, your soul, your love.
Show me what you're made of. Show me what you're made of. Open up your mouth, baby. It's too late now, baby.
You ask for ever.
And I will give you everything I want to give. And wouldn't that be the best receiving?
You ask for ever.
Show me forever.
Maybe when we get there. Maybe then.
