"I thought I was high; I could fly; I could fly.
I thought I could change the world, but no one could do that. No, I couldn't do that."
I thought if I lied, I could hide; I could hide.
I thought I could blame your love, but no one could do that. No, I couldn't do that.
I thought if I tried, I could deny; I could deny.
I thought I could change my fate, but no one could do that. No, I couldn't do that.
"I thought I could fly; I could fly; I could fly. Now I am flying, flying -
so high"
flying here
in "this place
or really notplace it's so...peaceful" I'm flying!
"...just watching you without me..."
...seeing your heart without my fear in the way...
...seeing clearly now and plainly how we are all responsible for our own actions in the end. Yes.
Now I know this truth.
I know you told me before, but I could not see through my lies then.
"I wish I had the words to tell you then what I can say now, but now it's so hard for you to hear, and
Oh, what a mess I've left you in." Oh, what a mess I've left.
Oh, what a mess...
"I thought I could fly; I could fly; I could fly. Now I'm flying, flying -
so high"
flying here
in "this place
or really notplace it's so...peaceful" I'm flying!
